In 1994, A/F Protein Canada Inc. was formed to meet the growing need of the research and development community for purified Antifreeze proteins and Glycoproteins.

We supply Antifreeze protein Types I, III, and the Antifreeze Glycoproteins for Research and Product Development. Currently, only Antifreeze protein Types III is available for ordering. Antifreeze protein Types I and Antifreeze Glycoproteins is temporarily out of stock.

These proteins are all purified from their natural sources - COLD OCEAN TELEOST FISH.

Our antifreeze proteins are sold in dry form following purification.

The proteins should be STORED AT TEMPERATURES OF -20 DEGREES CELSIUS OR LOWER.
They should be kept in a dry environment ie. vials should be stored over desiccant in a closed container.

If stored correctly, the proteins have a shelf life of AT LEAST 6 MONTHS.

THE PROTEINS ARE SOLUBLE IN MOST AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS UP TO CONCENTRATIONS OF 20 mg/ml.
